Spiritual Practice Information:

Spiritual Practice is linked to religious training and development and is often referred to as walking a path, or taking a journey. It is linked to an individual moving along a path / set of experiences towards a higher goal – of their life’s purpose, meaning and values.

It connects the person to the themes of devotion, salvation, liberation or union (with God). Often the individual is referred to as a pilgrim, and the spiritual teacher a guru guide, facilitator, companion or a witness. It is the pursuit of communion with, identify with, the conscious awareness of an ultimate reality, divinity, spiritual truth or God through direct experience, intuition, instinct or insight. Spiritual practices nurture and teach these experiences, and cultivate mystical states of consciousness.

Meditation and spiritual understanding enables the return to a state if inner peace, personal power and self-worth. Through rekindling the soul’s original qualities and virtues it opens up a pathway to true peace of mind and a natural state of happiness. At its deepest level, meditation is taught as a method of self-awareness, leading ultimately to self-realisation.
